Northbilt Customs

Indianapolis, IN

Dick Northam was a legend in open wheel racing throughout the midwest of the USA for many decades starting in the early 1950's. As a driver, mechanic and team manager he competed in the IndyCar series, USAC, CORA, UMRA and many more. He developed several products over his long tenure, starting in 1955 under the name "Northbilt Products". Dick passed his craftsmanship and knowledge down to his grandson, Bret Johnson, who is the founder and owner of Northbilt Customs.

In our short 5 years as a company we have been very fortunate to be featured at many motorcycle shows, including Fuel Cleveland, Garage Brewed, Glory Daze, Ride or Rot-FTW, Mama Tried and The Handbuilt show. We have been featured in such publications as Cycle World, Jalopnik, Bikebound, Pipeburn, Old Bike Barn and many others. While a newer company in this form, the name Northbilt is a 6 decade old, family owned organization. An organization that still adheres to a work ethic and handbuilt quality that is almost impossible to find today. The dedication to quality and the ultra high standards instilled in every one of us is evident in the work produced. Whether it's routine maintenance or a complete custom build, each motorcycle is handled with the same standards. It's the only way we know how. Contact us today for an appointment to make your motorcycle dreams a reality.
